And Sashi who's a business man that works for a cruise line. I was asking if the pirate problem at the Suez Canal we a problem for them. He said yes. The have to go around the coast of Africa, and passengers pay the added costs. He was up for 24-hours and was closing his eyes at dinner.
After dinner we went to the room &ili went out with them for drinks. But they had to catch the "last train" out of town. Last train is a concept in Japan when you party - you have to make a decision. Am I catching the last train home? Or do I stay and party? (And sleep in a park or on the street...yes, people totally do that here).
I was done drinking for the night! I used my Japanese to say “Mo da-meh. Yoh-para-chatta. Go-men.” - No more, I’m already drunk, sorry. I remember by: Polish "młoda" or young and "me" "yo para" in Spanish I for "chatta" and "go man"
They loved I could drop my phrases around. And they DIDN'T say "oh you speak Japanese??"
A few beers and a sake and I was ready for bed!! I left the table to use the bathroom and returned to find a new beer at my seat!! I remembers today in Japan when you don't want to drink anymore you have to leave a little drink in your glass so no one refills your cup.
