After we walked our into downtown Hiroshima we found a grocery store. I asked (pleaded, can we puh-lease go in?) Well, I am pleased to report ALL if us bought something!
I'm buying seasonings and husbands complaining "don't get that, nobody will want that!"
{from my souvenirs post / and my shopping list in my iPhone notes, I bought here::
Seasonings as gifts: seasoned salt is big here, curry salt, seaweed salt, etc. Found on a travel blog I added to my notes::
Kombudashi (kelp broth) is a great seasoning. Gomashio (sesame salt) is a great accompaniment to rice dishes. Dry powder sachets of Poccari sweat are good too. Basically stuff that is compact and easy to carry on the plane. (See the post / pics on the Hiroshima Grocery Store!) }
Choco puchi: Japanese M&M's, stuck to an oversized sheet. Our guide ate these as a kid.
Kids candy: (¥30), cheapest things so far! Bottled water is ¥120-150
Packaged donuts
Sake!!!! Hiroshima is known for its Sake variety. These large bottles are ¥1700-2500. But in the restaurants small (hi-ball size) glasses of them range ¥300-1500.
Dried fish variety
Wierd gifts category, foot peeling kit
Dried fish ¥289 ($2.89). This is a big bag, tury have These Fish In the ręce całe snach bags
Happy Travels!!
